Former Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris has spoken about the changes he noticed since Ange Postecoglou was appointed.

There has been a lot of changes made at Hotspur Way since the summer and one has even been the departure of the Frenchman.

Lloris’ time in the starting XI at Spurs was brought to an end over the summer, but he continued to train with the squad before joining LA FC recently.

Spurs changes under Postecoglou

The 2022/23 campaign under Antonio Conte was one to forget with no European football being earned and dismal football to match.

However, things look a lot brighter with Ange Postecoglou now at the helm as the club eye Champions League football and fans are being treated to a more exciting brand of football.

Lloris has now parted ways with the club he spent more than a decade at, and having moved to Los Angeles, he has spoken to The Athletic about his time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Speaking about the changes he saw under the Australian, he said: “When you look at how the squad has changed in three years, it’s very different. Tottenham are now young with legs and personality. Everybody enjoys watching Tottenham, and the credit belongs to Ange.”

Tottenham eye top four

Daniel Levy sanctioned a lot of changes over the summer in north London and there was potential for this season to be seriously underwhelming.

But it has been far from that with the football on display leaving fans excited and the results have largely matched.

It has not been perfect and a lot of the blame can potentially be put down to the horrendous luck the club has had when it comes to injuries.

Even recently, Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro have picked up injury issues which have seen them sidelined.

Although there has been some cause for optimism with Porro taking to his social media accounts to provide fans with an update.

Postecoglou made it clear from the start that he was not going to involve Lloris in the squad. Despite this, Lloris was clearly left impressed with what he saw from the Australian.
