Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro has provided a potentially encouraging message on social media regarding his injury.

The Spanish full-back was absent on Saturday for the defeat to Gary O’Neil’s Wolves as Ange Postecoglou was made to start Emerson Royal.

However, there may be some cause for optimism after Pedro Porro’s recent comments on his TikTok account hinting towards a speedy recovery.

Pedro Porro injury latest

The 23-year-old’s absence from the weekend was first mooted on Thursday during the club’s open training session at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Alongside Destiny Udogie, the Spaniard was one of the notable omissions from Postecoglou’s session.

Porro was then confirmed as out of the squad for the game against Wolves with Postecoglou saying he could be out for a few weeks.

However, with a two week break between the Wolves game and the next game against Crystal Palace on 2 March, Porro has taken to his TikTok to provide fans some hope.

When asked how long he is out for by a fan with him in their Fantasy Premier League team, Porro replied: ‘Don’t sell me’.

Quick return on the cards

Journalist Alasdair Gold had hinted at more positive news for Udogie’s injury with the Italian expected to return for the game against Palace next week.

But now it seems as if there may be some optimism to be had with the right-back who was showing himself working in the gym on his TikTok video which generated the reply.

And this would be a huge boost for the Lilywhites after what was on display on the weekend in his absence.

Emerson attempted two crosses during the game and neither of those were able to find their expected target in the box.

Tottenham’s struggles to make anything work in attack on the weekend were not helped by the absence of Porro and Udogie.

But Porro’s attacking threat was certainly missed having already provided eight assists in the league this season.

Let’s just hope the 23-year-old is expecting to return sooner rather than later.
