Tottenham Hotspur star Lucas Bergvall has returned to full fitness in recent weeks but the club’s form remains exactly the same.
Tottenham fans remain convinced that injuries have hampered the team this season, but despite getting some players back, a 1-0 defeat to Sunderland means that Spurs remain winless in 2026.
😡 VOTE for Tottenham’s WORST player vs Sunderland…
Mohamed Kudus and Cristian Romero are now out for the season at Tottenham, and things are looking extremely perilous for the recently appointed Roberto De Zerbi.
Bergvall was in action against Sunderland at the weekend and Troy Deeney was left stunned after his latest showing – and not in a good way!

Troy Deeney slams Lucas Bergvall performance vs Sunderland
Deeney isn’t backwards in coming forwards as a pundit and he’s slammed Bergvall for his latest showing in another Tottenham defeat.
Bergvall was in action as the Black Cats enhanced their chances of European football at the expense of Tottenham who are worrying about relegation.
Deeney believes that what people have told him about Bergvall might not be accurate and he was left disappointed by his latest showing.
He said on TikTok: “People were saying a new manager’s going to come in and instil confidence. What do you mean?
“I saw Bergvall. People have been telling me he’s good for the past two years, he was touch-tackling everything.
“Everything that came near him, he was touch-tackling.
“Unfortunate for Romero getting injured. Kinsky was decent, which I think he needed after the Champions League.”
Deeney’s comments on Bergvall are perhaps a little bit harsh, and ultimately, he’s been rushed back in order to aid a crippled squad.
Injuries have really made an impact on Tottenham this season, and it’s got to come into consideration when discussing why the team have struggled so much.
However, it’s fair to say that there can be more to come from Bergvall and hopefully, he can rediscover his top form before the end of the season.
