Tottenham Hotspur were defeated in the North London derby leaving them with their worst start to a Premier League campaign in nine years.

Gabriel Magalhaes’ header in the second half proved decisive in the derby as the Gunners recorded a third straight win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Pressure is starting to mount on Ange Postecoglou with the same mistakes being made and any sort of progression having plateaued.

The Aussie coach is now under pressure to quickly turn things around in N17 with growing concerns from supporters. However, one of his key players has just taken to social media to show their support for Postecoglou.

Destiny Udogie shows backing for Ange Postecoglou

The 59-year-old was in a defiant mood during the aftermath of the North London derby and insisted he still believed he would deliver silverware this season.

Before the start of the campaign, the Australian coach said: “Usually in my second season I win things. That’s the whole idea.”

Postecoglou reaffirmed his belief in delivering silverware in his second season, claiming: “I will correct myself: I don’t usually win things, I always win things in my second year. Nothing has changed.”

Destiny Udogie showed his backing for the manager by liking Fabrizio Romano’s Instagram post with these Postecoglou quotes.

The Italian has had a tough start to the season as he looks slightly unfit, which is no surprise given his lengthy injury layoff. He also posted a message on his Snapchat which read, ‘Reset, Restart, Refocus’, along with a white heart.

Tottenham also fully backing Ange Postecoglou

Postecoglou is not in any danger of losing his job, despite Tottenham’s bad start to the season, according to Fabrizio Romano.

As mentioned it is their worst league start in nine years and they are currently sat in 13th with just four points from four games.

The North London club’s project is centred around him and despite it being a tricky start for Spurs, they are fully backing their manager.
