Tottenham Hotspur supporters don’t have a great deal to be excited by right now with the team struggling on the pitch.
Spurs fans don’t need reminding of their previous outing which saw them hand Ipswich Town their first Premier League win since 2002.
Ange Postecoglou’s team have shown some signs of good, but for the most part, it’s tricky to be overly optimistic about their aspirations for the remainder of the campaign and meanwhile, in the boardroom, the owners are hardly doing much to help that either.
However, the exciting production line down at Hotspur Way and some of the young additions the North London club have added to their ranks is certainly something for fans to get behind. Here are The Spurs News’ top four picks of the best under-17 talents at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham’s top five young talents
Luca Williams-Barnett
Following the incredible rise of Mikey Moore who went from playing under-18s football to becoming a regular first-teamer in the space of a year, Luca Williams-Barnett is the next talent who could follow a similar path.
Williams-Barnett was given the amazing experience of going to Turkey to be a part of Tottenham’s Europa League squad to face Galatasaray.
The 16-year-old more than deserved his chance to be in the first-team squad with his form for the U18s being quite sensational. The midfielder has netted nine times in eight appearances and also has four assists in the Premier League U18 making him one of the best players in the country his age.
Williams-Barnett is certainly one to keep an eye on this season in the way of first-team opportunities and he has been training with the first team over the international break. He is still only on a schoolboy contract, although, Tottenham are prepared to go to huge lengths to get Williams-Barnett to sign a professional contract when he is eligible.
Luka Vuskovic
Tottenham were so sure of Luka Vuskovic’s talents that they paid £12 million to secure his services at the age of just 16. The North London club beat off competition from Manchester City and Liverpool.
Now aged 17, the defender has already enjoyed two seasons of senior football, with his latest loan move at KVC Westerlo being very impressive.
Along with his strong defensive displays, the central defender has demonstrated his incredible aerial presence with four goals in 14 Belgian Pro League games.
Vuskovic is seen as one of the best young defenders in Europe and there is much to be excited about when he finally arrives in N17 in the summer of 2025.
Mikey Moore
This list wouldn’t be complete without Mikey Moore who’s quickly making a name for himself at Tottenham. Last season, the winger was handed his first-team debut by Postecoglou who bought him on for games against Manchester City and Sheffield United.
He continued to impress the manager whilst on tour of Asia and when he turned 17 in August, the talented teenager was handed his first pro deal with the club. Now, Moore is a fully established member of Postecoglou’s squad and is set to play a big role for Tottenham this season having only just turned 17.
Jun’ai Byfield
Aged just 15, Jun’ai Byfield is another massive talent in Spurs’ U18 squad. The teenager plays several age groups up for both the Lilywhites and England.
There is good reason for that too, as Byfield is very impressive with the ball at his feet, even more so for a defender, with his goal against Leicester’s academy showing how good he can be. Byfield, along with Williams-Barnett, are the two players to keep a close eye on for the Under-18s this term.
