Tottenham Hotspur staff believe Alfie Devine could have a huge future ahead of him in north London.
Devine has been recalled from Port Vale after spending the first half of the season on loan at the League One outfit.
The 19-year-old impressed for The Valiants, netting three times and providing four goals in 27 appearances across all competitions.
The youngster has now joined Plymouth Argyle on loan until the end of the season, making the step up from League One to the Championship. Of course, he will link up with Spurs teammate Ashley Phillips at Plymouth, who joined Ian Foster’s side last week.
And according to HITC Football, staff at Tottenham have high hopes for Devine.

The Englishman had a host of options in the Championship to choose from but Plymouth have beaten off competition to land Devine.
It’s also noted how Spurs hope Devine can become a first-team regular in the future, with those at Spurs believing he could be a vital player in years to come.
Eyebrows were raised on Wednesday morning when Tottenham announced they had recalled Devine from Port Vale. But stepping the ‘outstanding‘ midfielder up to the Championship feels like an astute move from Spurs.
The youngster clearly has a big future ahead of him and it will only benefit him playing at a higher level for the remainder of the campaign.
It remains to be seen whether or not he could force his way into Ange Postecoglou’s plans ahead of next season.
The Aussie boss is well-stocked in central midfield but we’ve already seen his willingness to hand younger talents an opportunity.
Pape Matar Sarr and Destiny Udogie are two shining examples of that and Devine will be hoping to make a similar impact in the future.
