Mauricio Pochettino has once again been linked with the Tottenham job.

Thomas Frank’s struggles at Tottenham have led to the Argentine’s name being mentioned as a potential replacement at the end of the season.

With the World Cup in the summer, as the head coach of the United States, there is no chance Pochettino leaves that role before mid-July.

Lewis family want to do things differently compared to Daniel Levy

According to the Telegraph, with Daniel Levy’s exit, the younger generation of the Lewis family wants to do things differently from what he did.

They are aiming to break the cycle that Levy put the club in, with regard to the hiring and sacking of managers.

If you were in the Spurs board, how would you convince Pochettino to return? 👀

Insiders at Spurs believe that re-hiring Pochettino would not be the best move for either party.

The North London outfit are looking to do something new and not return to the past, while the former Lilywhites boss will have ambitions of achieving success elsewhere.

While most fans would welcome Pochettino back with open arms, the reunion does not seem to be on the cards in the summer.

Pochettino may have outgrown Tottenham

There is a good chance that Pochettino may have outgrown Tottenham, especially after he took the Chelsea job.

Knowing the rivalry between the two teams, the Argentine still moved there and spent a season, beating Spurs at their home ground.

He would also feel that he deserves to be at clubs competing for top honours and would not want another rebuild at a club he has formerly been at.

Also, there might be some bitterness about how his sacking was handled, especially the timing of it.

Despite not signing a single player for over a year, he guided Spurs to the Champions League final, and the summer following that, when money was spent, he was shown the door a few months later.

The Manchester United job may also be available in the summer and there is a good chance that he would want to try moving to the Old Trafford outfit.
