Tottenham Hotspur have now changed their initial plans set for Mikey Moore ahead of the summer with the post-season trip to Australia just next week.
Tuesday night’s defeat against Manchester City saw a lot of negatives come out of the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ange Postecoglou‘s fury was made very much apparent during the game when he confronted a fan in the stand behind the dugout.
And then after the game, the Australian took aim at the frailties embedded in the club and questioned the atmosphere created by the crowd.
However, one of the positives to take from the game was 16-year-old Mikey Moore being handed his debut after impressing in Hotspur Way training.
Plans had been put in place for the youngster following Sunday’s game away to Sheffield United, but these have now changed on the back of his debut.

What are Tottenham’s plans for Mikey Moore?
Moore has now been training with the first team for a number of weeks after his initial stint impressed the coaches so much.
As a reward for his hard work behind the scenes, Moore was brought on for the final minutes of added time against the champions-elect.
Having replaced James Maddison, Moore was only able to touch the ball twice but he managed to keep calm on the ball as he completed his single attempted pass.
A long road lies ahead of Moore but it is apparent the club view him as one of the real bright prospects from the academy.
According to Alasdair Gold, Spurs had planned to take Moore on their post-season trip to Australia next week for the friendly against Newcastle United.
However, those plans have now changed with the club deciding to release Moore so he can play for England at the U17 Euros.
Moore will still return to the squad after the tournament where he is expected to travel with the first team for their pre-season trip to Asia.
Ange Postecoglou has high hopes for the 16-year-old Mikey Moore
It is clearly very early days in the career of young Moore with Tuesday marking his first ever appearance for the club at senior level.
But it has to be said there is clearly a lot of excitement surrounding his development given he’s now become the youngest Spurs player to appear in the Premier League.
Spurs fans should be all too aware of getting overly excited by a young prospect with the likes of Troy Parrott and Dane Scarlett both showing there are long paths ahead in the youngsters’ developments.
Speaking after the game on Tuesday, Postecoglou admitted he is looking forward to watching Moore progress over the years.
“He’s still got a long way to go, he’s only 16, he’s a great kid. It’s a reward, because we’ve had him training with us and he hasn’t been playing with the U21s either, we thought it wouldn’t be fair to not reward his hard work with an appearance,” he said.
