Tottenham Hotspur saw one of their academy’s brightest stars Mikey Moore make his first senior start for the club in the Europa League on Thursday.
Moore became the club’s youngest-ever player to start a European match as the 17-year-old completed 90 minutes against Ferencvarosi.
Tottenham are now starting to reap the benefits of Hotspur Way with their training ground and academy producing and attracting many elite-level young talents.
Spurs signed teenage trio Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and Yang Min-hyuk over the summer with the future now looking very bright in N17.
Tottenham fans are now convinced they have another talent who could be as good as Mikey Moore after the club’s Under-18s beat Manchester United 4-3.

Luca Williams-Barnett scores hat-trick vs Man United Under-18s
Luca Williams-Barnett scored a hat-trick for Tottenham Under-18s as they defeated Manchester United at Hotspur Way. The 16-year-old had six goals in six league matches this season and moved on to nine in seven against the Red Devils’ youngsters.
The number 10 set up Tottenham’s first goal for Ellis Lehane as he played a wonderful line-splitting ball for the striker to comfortably dispatch.
Williams-Barnett’s first was a tap-in after Lehane’s effort was parried but his second was special as he cut into the penalty area from the left-hand side, ran at the defence and guided his effort into the far corner.
The midfielder completed his hattrick after a brilliant outside-of-the-boot pass from Reiss Elliott-Parris found him on the edge of the penalty area which he emphatically put away.
Tottenham fans believe they have another ‘Mikey Moore level talent’
Tottenham fans were so impressed by the 16-year-old’s performance and took to social media to share their excitement for a player they have dubbed the next Mikey Moore.
We will have to wait and see what Spurs decide to do with Williams-Barnett and whether they keep him with the Under-18s or move him up to the Under-21s like they did with Moore last season.
Another fan added: “Luca Williams-Barnett. Remember the name. Utterly ridiculous talent for his age.”
“I officially launch the Luca Williams-Barnett train. No time to waste on my propaganda,” said another supporter.
