Tottenham Hotspur supporters have just been told who the two leading candidates are to replace Ange Postecoglou should he be sacked.
Postecoglou is under pressure at Spurs after his team dropped into 12th place following their defeat to Bournemouth. Spurs’ away fans booed Postecoglou at the Vitality Stadium as they were made to endure another torrid display losing 1-0 on the South Coast.
The Australian manager faces a huge clash with Chelsea on Sunday which could play a big part in dictating his future at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The North London club have started drawing up plans in case they decide to sack the 59-year-old and two of the leading candidates have already emerged.

Tottenham to target Graham Potter and Thomas Frank
Tottenham are expected to target Graham Potter and Thomas Frank if they decide to sack Ange Postecoglou, according to Paul O’Keefe. The Spurs insider told The Inside Foreword: “I’d imagine Graham Potter would be among the favourites, they’d probably look at Thomas Frank.”
Potter is currently out of work so would be the cheaper option of the two. The 49-year-old has remained out of work since his sacking by Chelsea back in April 2023.
Meanwhile, Frank would likely be tricky to prise away from Brentford given the competition fee and whether it is worth sacrificing what he has at the Gtech Stadium for the Tottenham job. The Danish manager has done an incredible job taking the Bees up from the Championship and turning them into a competitive Premier League team.
What would it take for Tottenham to sack Ange Postecoglou?
O’Keefe believes that the breaking point for Levy would be when Tottenham fans turn on him in the stadium and Postecoglou will likely be the man to take the hit for him by being sacked. Nuno Espirito Santo, Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho were all given the boot soon after the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium began to sing ‘Levy Out’ chants.
“Daniel Levy is very reactive, if in the ground the fans start chanting about ‘Levy Out’ and really going for Levy, that generally signals the end and normally what happens is that the manager bites the bullet. The minute the fans turns on him personally as we saw with Nuno, Conte, Jose the minute it gets sticky, the manager perishes at Tottenham,” added O’Keefe.
