Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been left shocked after learning how long Mikey Moore still needs to recover from a nasty illness.

The winger has been missing with a bad virus since the start of November and he looks set to be out for even longer as he continues to recover. Moore had been establishing himself in Ange Postecoglou’s squad before being struck by the illness.

Now, the 17-year-old is expected to be out for quite a bit longer after the full extent of his recovery time was revealed by a Tottenham source.

Mikey Moore will miss three to four weeks

Mikey Moore needs another three to four weeks to recover from an illness which has seen him miss Tottenham’s last couple of matches, according to Paul O’Keefe. The young winger has now missed the last three games as he recovers from a nasty virus.

Unfortunately, it comes at a bad time for the teenager as he was quickly becoming a key part of the first-team squad. Moore is now set to miss most of the Christmas period as continues to recover from what was quite clearly a serious illness.

Tottenham really needed him for their Europa League group stage matches with Timo Werner’s fitness unclear, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert both sidelined and Heung-min Son struggling with the demands of playing so much.

Who else is out for Tottenham with Mikey Moore?

Moore’s injury is already compounded by injuries to Richarlison and Odobert leaving Tottenham short in attacking areas. Werner is a doubt but is still expected to start left wing against Roma.

Micky van de Ven is likely to be sidelined until the middle of next month as he recovers from a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, Guglielmo Vicario has suffered a fractured ankle and is set to miss six to ten weeks after undergoing surgery.

Cristian Romero was not spotted in training ahead of the Europa League clash with Roma meaning he is likely to also be a doubt to face Fulham on the weekend.
