Tottenham Hotspur are facing one of the biggest fixtures in their calendar as they take on Arsenal in the North London derby on September 15.

Spurs and Arsenal head into the clash coming off the back of disappointing gameweek three results as they both dropped points.

Tottenham were beaten by Newcastle United in a game which they dominated but a failure to take their chances saw them defeated 2-1.

Meanwhile, the Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw with Brighton with a Declan Rice red card allowing the Seagulls back into the game and to snatch a point.

Both clubs also head into the match with key injuries, with Spurs sweating over the fitness of both Dominic Solanke and Micky van de Ven.

Dominic Solanke and Micky van de Ven not spotted in Tottenham training

Tottenham supporters were quick to notice that neither Dominic Solanke nor Micky van de Ven were spotted during training.

SpursOfficial released footage from Ange Postecoglou’s side training on September 9 and the duo were not to be seen.

Both players still have time to recover and train but as the week goes on they are running out of time to get back up to speed for such an intense fixture.

Solanke has missed Spurs’ last two matches with an ankle injury whilst Van de Ven was not passed fit to face Newcastle United.

Solanke and van de Ven will be intergeral vs Arsenal

Spurs’ defeat away at Newcastle demonstrated just how important both Solanke and van de Ven are for the Lilywhites.

The pair will be desperately needed for the North London derby with Solanke’s presence up top and Van de Ven’s recovery speed being key to Postecoglou’s system.

Tottenham were wasteful in front of goal and desperately needed a striker to lead the line. Their new club-record signing was unfortunate not to have opened his account against Leicester and could have made the difference against Newcastle.

Meanwhile, Radu Dragusin did a great job covering for Van de Ven at St James’ Park, however, the visitors missed the Dutchman’s pace whilst playing their high line.
