Tottenham Hotspur emerged 3-2 victors over Brentford in the Premier League – in what was a quite enthralling encounter.

Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff made sure the Premier League return was a happy one, but it didn’t always look like it was to be the case at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Neal Maupay broke the deadlock in North London, and remarkably, alongside Ivan Toney whipped out James Maddison‘s trademark situation.

This was a catalyst for chaos unfolding, but it evidently worked in Tottenham Hotspur‘s favour.

Tottenham fight back

After Maupay’s opener and mockery in the 15th, Tottenham made sure to use this as fuel to the fire pushing forward.

They grabbed three goals in rapid succession in the second half, through Destiny Udogie, Brennan Johnson and Richarlison.

The latter in Richy’s goal gave Tottenham a bit of breathing space, which was dually needed thanks to an Ivan Toney response. Thankfully, it got them the win.

Fans love what Richarlison did to Neal Maupay

Richarlison has always been known as a bit of a character around Hotspur Way, but what he did after Spurs’ equaliser will certainly get him some more brownie points among fans.

As Udogie equalised, Richarlison made sure to sprint up to Maupay with the ball in hand and bellow in his face. Top class from the Brazilian.

Fans absolutely loved this and swarmed X with comments of admiration for their forward.

A first writes: ‘God I love Richarlison’.

‘Looool I love how they all took his celebration personally and responded with class,’ another says.

‘This is glorious, I reckon me and Richarlison would be mates after watching that,’ another jokes.

A final adds: ‘I love Richy even more… and it helps when he’s banging them in!’

The last one rings true the most. He now has seven in seven and has proven himself as worthy to lead the line at Hotspur Way. Never change, Richy.
