Tottenham Hotspur hold the longest consecutive goalscoring streak across Europe’s top five leagues.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have a spot in next season’s Champions League on their radar after an impressive start under the Australian.

Goals do not seem to be an issue for the Lilywhites as they rank top across Europe’s top five leagues for scoring consecutive games.

Tottenham eye top four

Following their victory on the weekend, Barcelona published a report stating they have only been pipped by two clubs in the number of league games consecutively scored in (25).

Those two teams were Inter Milan (33) and Tottenham (37) as the north London club lead the way across Europe.

Spurs were able to keep their streak running in their defeat against Wolves when Dejan Kulusevski scored a second-half equaliser.

Defensive issues costing Spurs

It is apparent goals are not the issue for Spurs. Heung-min Son is now back from the Asian Cup and he is showing some fine form under Postecoglou.

However, there are some concerning issues in defence for the Lilywhites.

Although there has been a strong partnership formed between Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, Spurs can’t stop conceding goals.

Tottenham have now kept just one clean sheet in their last 16 Premier League games.

It is apparent this can largely be put down to the style of football Postecoglou has brought to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

But surely there has to be some questions asked whether this is something that could cost Spurs a spot in the Champions League.
