Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has been talking about his time as a footballer and he revealed a bizarre job he had to do for legendary footballer Ferenc Puskas.
Before becoming the manager of Tottenham over the summer, Ange Postecoglou was the coach of multiple clubs including Celtic. He was also a footballer in the 1980s-1990s, playing for South Melbourne.
The experienced Australian has had a great career so far and it looks like he could end up doing a fantastic job for Tottenham.
He has quickly become a fan favourite and Spurs are currently top of the Premier League and undefeated so far in the competition this season. Fans will not be shocked to hear about the bizarre role he had whilst being managed by Puskas.

Ange Postecoglou on what job he did for Ferenc Puskas’
Postecoglou was talking about his time at South Melbourne as a player. He was coached by Ferenc Puskas in 1989. Speaking to FourFourTwo, he said: “It was just the bizarre world of football that, in a backwater of the game, we literally got one of the greatest footballers of all time on our doorstep.”
“I had great times with him. He struggled to speak any English but had worked in Greece. I was captain, and with my Greek background I ended up being both his interpreter and his chauffeur. I tried to squeeze in as much time with him as possible. He was a very humble man, and because of that he had the respect of everyone.”
This pretty much sums up the Spurs manager. He seems to be a top personality and it looks like he was no different in his playing days.
Chairman Daniel Levy definitely took a risk bringing Postecoglou to the club, but so far it looks to be working massively. What has been so impressive is the way that he has improved the players who many Spurs fans doubted over the summer.

If Spurs can finish in a Champions League spot then it will be a huge success for Postecoglou in his first campaign in England.
They have battled against some of the best sides in the division so far but the true test will be when they face Manchester City.
