Here are four Tottenham Hotspur players who have proven the doubters wrong this season.
Tottenham as a whole have proven a lot of people wrong this season. Spurs were shunned away from top-four chances, never mind title chances.
Yet as of the first proper international break, Ange Postecoglou‘s side sits unbeaten at the top of the league.
A lot of players were scrutinized in particular – but here are four we think have supremely proved the doubters wrong this season thus far.

Son Heung-min
The first player has to be the captain, Son Heung-Min.
After last season’s horror season by his standards of just 14 goals in all competitions, he’s now back to his best.
Many scrutinized whether at 31 years old, the forward had lost his touch – well just look at him so far this season.

Yves Bissouma
An outcast in Antonio Conte’s side turned into an underrated metronome under Postecoglou – it’s Yves Bissouma.
The midfielder featured little under the Italian, deemed as a ‘bad trainer‘ and it was unknown whether life in North London was ever going to work out.
Then big Ange came along. The boisterous DM is now reminiscent of his Brighton days and has become an integral part of the side. He’s ace.

Guglielmo Vicario
Replacing an established Premier League goalkeeper and Spurs club captain was always going to be a tall order – but Guglielmo Vicario has done that with aplomb.
He was deemed as not a ‘ready-made replacement‘ but he’s done just that. After a somewhat shaky opener, the Italian has really proven why Postecoglou took a punt on him.
We’re just baffled as to how he went under the radar for so many years.

Destiny Udogie
One of the stars of the season so far is last, it’s Destiny Udogie.
The lightning-quick full-back has taken the Premier League by storm. He’s been sensational in every minute of football he’s played.
He was deemed ‘not ready‘ by his former boss. There’s no bigger doubters to prove wrong than that.
