Tottenham Hotspur got back to winning ways in style as they came from behind to destroy West Ham United in North London.
Spurs hosted the Hammers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off, and things didn’t go to plan right away.
Jarrod Bowen got the better of Destiny Udogie down the right-hand side of the 18-yard-box and crossed for Mohammed Kudus to lash in on 18 minutes.
Tottenham fans feared another disappointing result in wake of what happened at Brighton, but Spurs had no intention of letting that happen this time.

The Lilywhites levelled in the 36th minute as Dejan Kulusevski fired in via both posts after being teed up by James Maddison.
Spurs added a second in the 53rd minute as Son Heung-min and Destiny Udogie combined to set Yves Bissouma up for a neat finish.
Bissouma’s goal opened the floodgates as Tottenham made it 3-1 two minutes later, Hammers defender Jean-Clair Todibo putting the ball into the back of his own net.
Then, in the 60th minute, Son got the better of the beleaguered Todibo with a couple of stepovers before beating Alphonse Areola at his near post to round off the scoring.
Tottenham fans took to social media during and after the game to praise most of Spurs’ players, including one who didn’t get on the scoresheet.
Tottenham fans hail ‘pivotal’ Dominic Solanke
Although Dominic Solanke didn’t manage to join in on the goal-fest, he still put in a great shift and was a key presence in between the middle and final third.
Here’s what Tottenham fans said about the £65million man:
What the media said about Dominic Solanke’s Spurs display v West Ham
Football.london’s Rob Guest gave Solanke an 8 out of 10 for his efforts on the day.
“Not many chances on goal to begin with but was instrumental to Kulusevski’s goal after getting a vital touch to stop Tomas Soucek winning possession,” he wrote.
“Showed his strength, determination and quality on the ball midway through the second half after some persistent play created an opening for Johnson.
“Some really good play throughout and all that was missing was a goal.”
Meanwhile, the Evening Standard gave the Spurs summer signing a 7 out of 10 rating.
“No goal this time, but a tireless display with some great runs into the final third,” wrote Dom Smith.
Goal.com went with a 6 out of 10, writing: “Like Johnson, was unlucky not to have scored.
“Pressed all afternoon long and made light work of Todibo. Again proved to be a perfect fit for Postecoglou’s system.”
