Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro and his Spain teammates were brilliant in their 6-0 win against Turkey.

The likes of Lamine Yamal and Mikel Merino have stolen the headlines following the game, with Porro‘s Arsenal rival scoring a hat-trick.

However, the 25-year-old also impressed himself, putting in what you can describe as a complete full-back performance.

The Spurs star even came close to matching one of Yamal’s impressive stats during Spain’s World Cup qualifier.

Tottenham star Pedro Porro nearly matches Lamine Yamal in key passes

Unsurprisingly, Yamal recorded the most key passes in Spain’s thrashing of Turkey. The Barcelona wonderkid is the most talented young player in football right now and showed that again on Sunday.

In total, Yamal made four key passes and registered two assists, playing his part in his country’s impressive victory.

What may be more of a surprise to some is Porro’s performance in that area. The right-back managed to make three key passes, meaning that Yamal was the only player to record more on the night.

Tottenham supporters who watch Porro week in, week out, though, will be well aware of the Spain international’s attacking ability.

Going forward, Porro is one of the best full-backs in the Premier League, producing eight goal contributions in 33 appearances last season. It is quite a good return for a full-back.

Porro is just one of several quality defenders currently at Spurs, and the Europa League winners could add another one to their squad next year.

It has been claimed that Tottenham will monitor Jan Paul van Hecke ahead of the January transfer window.

Thomas Frank will now be hoping that Porro can produce that kind of performance for Spurs in their next game, which is a London derby against rivals West Ham United.
