James Maddison England praise
Tottenham star James Maddison left his mark on the England team over the international break, despite making one substitute appearance. The playmaker came on late in the game against Belgium, teeing up Jude Bellingham for a last minute equaliser.
Maddison received plenty of praise for his role in the goal, with pundit Joe Cole chipping in with his thoughts. “But then it’s a bit of quality from Maddison,” he told Channel 4. “That ball there… outstanding. And when it drops to Jude Bellingham, you knew it was going to be a goal.”
Spurs will be hopeful that Maddison can continue that fine form for the final few weeks of the season that are approaching, with the race for Champions League qualification now firmly heating up.

Ledley King praise for Michael Carrick
Tottenham hero Ledley King has claimed that former midfielder Michael Carrick went under the radar from fans. The ex-England international spent two-years with Spurs before joining Manchester United and cementing his legacy there.
Speaking on the Five YouTube channel, King said on Carrick: “It’s like Carrick. People don’t realise how good he was. Balance, you know I mean, I love balanced players. I love that type of player and I spent 18 months with him he was he was a top, top player as well.”
It’s a move that Tottenham may look back on with some regret, given how much Carrick could’ve achieved at the club instead of their rivals Old Trafford.
