One of Tottenham Hotspur’s key players had a successful international break as he managed to get a goal and an assist for his national team.
Ange Postecoglou will be hoping his players return from the break feeling refreshed and ready to put behind them the disappointment of losing to Ipswich Town.
Spurs handed the Tractor Boys their first Premier League win since 2002 just before the break as they were beaten 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Next up for the Lilywhites is Manchester City away and Postecoglou will be keen for one of his stars to carry over his form for his country to help Tottenham at the Etihad.

Brennan Johnson impresses for Wales vs Iceland
Brennan Johnson produced one of his best performances for Wales as they defeated Iceland 4-1 to secure promotion in the Nations League. The winger managed to get a goal and assist in the win, leaving the Welsh media singing his praises for a superb performance in Cardiff.
Y Clwb Pêl-Droed gave him an 8/10: “Johnson registering a goal and assist as he continues his rich vain of form. A pinpoint cross to find Cullen for the leveller and well-taken goal for the third.”

Wales Online were also impressed by his display handing him a 9/10: “Took his goal brilliantly, constantly wanted the ball and worked his socks off all night. Was also impressive out of possession too. No Wales played made more tackles. One of his best Wales performances.”
Sportdunia believe he was Man of the Match with an 8.5/10 performance: “A constant menace with his dribbling and movement. Assisted Cullen’s opener and capped off the night with a stunning solo goal.”
The 23-year-old has now taken his goal tally to nine for the season after scoring against Iceland. The goal he scored is becoming a bit of a trademark of his, as he picked up the ball on the right side, drove into the Icelandic penalty area and flashed his shot into the far corner.
Ben Davies impresses at left-back for Wales vs Iceland
Ben Davies also impressed as Craig Bellamy moved him to left-back as he moves another step closer to 100 caps for Wales. Y Clwb Pêl-Droed awarded him a 7/10: “A solid defensive display from the Spurs man as he was shifted out to left-back. his 92nd cap levelling with great Neville Southall.”
Meanwhile, Sportdunia were slightly more critical handing him a 6.5/10: “Quiet offensively but solid in his defensive duties. Improved as Iceland tired.” It was a 7/10 from Wales Online for the defender: “Another good outing for the skipper.”
Despite his improved display, Tottenham will still be hoping Cristian Romero’s early return with a knock from international duty is nothing serious and Davies won’t be needed against City.
