Mikey Moore sends message to Tottenham academy star who was in Ange Postecoglou’s squad vs Man City – England and Spurs rate him highly

Mikey Moore has sent a message to one of Tottenham Hotspur’s top academy talents who was named in Ange Postecoglou’s squad against Manchester City.

Spurs sent shock waves around the Premier League as they produced one of the most stunning results of the season by defeating the English champions 4-0.

The North London club emphatically ended City’s 52-game unbeaten run at the Etihad Stadium the Lilywhites ran riot over Pep Guardiola’s side.

Postecoglou named several youngsters in his squad and Moore is a big fan of one of the teenagers who was on the bench for the second time.

Mikey Moore sends message to Callum Olusesi

Mikey Moore has congratulated fellow academy graduate Callum Olusesi on being part of the Tottenham squad for such a big win. Moore and Olusesi are very close having played together for both Tottenham and England’s youth teams.

Olusesi is highly rated at Spurs having worked his way into the Under-21s this season despite only being 17 and even recently captained the team. The midfielder has also worked his way into the England Under-18 squad over the last international break.

Postecoglou added Olusesi to the squad for the trip to Galatasaray and on the weekend, he was given the opportunity to be around the first-team squad again. Moore is still recovering from a virus which has kept him out of action for almost three weeks now. After the game, Moore wrote on his Instagram story; “Proud of you brother @Callum_Olusesi”.

How good are Callum Olusesi’s England and Tottenham stats?

Olusesi is a highly versatile midfielder capable of playing both attacking and defensive central roles, although his preferred position seems to be as a number six. Although for England’s U18s he started in the number ten role as they lost 1-0 to Germany.

Last month, the 17-year-old caught the eye of England youth team coaches as he netted a brace for the U19s. Meanwhile, for Tottenham, he has three goals in eight Premier League 2 matches.
