Tottenham Hotspur’s January signing Lucas Bergvall has admitted he does not regret choosing Spurs over Barcelona.
The Swedish youngster has returned to Djurgarden for the remainder of the campaign and will join Spurs in the summer.
After over a month since inking the deal with Tottenham, Lucas Bergvall has no issues with the decision he made.

Lucas Bergvall rejected Barcelona
The January transfer window saw Ange Postecoglou’s side bring in a number of new faces.
Perhaps the most exciting was the addition of the 18-year-old who had a number of clubs chasing hsi signature.
Barcelona were perhaps the biggest name in the list, but Bergvall made the decision to sign for the north London club instead.
Speaking ahead of his move to London in the summer, Bergvall has provided some reasoning behind why he chose Tottenham. He said: “As I have said before it was very much 50/50. An incredibly difficult choice with two really good clubs. But I chose Tottenham mainly because of the gut feeling and the feelings I got when I met the club.
“Now, a month after I’ve made the decision, it still feels just as good. It feels like I’ve landed very well.
“Tottenham have been very good in their part and leave quite a lot up to Djurgarden, because they know I want to focus here. It’s been a serious half year, so it feels really good actually.
“He’s [Postecoglou] an incredibly warm person to begin with and a fantastic coach so I’ve talked to him a few times. He’s very fun but I’ve mainly had contact with the sports chief, a lot of emails.”

Confidence in Postecoglou’s project
Although Barcelona may not be the force they were just a number of years ago, it is still a huge feat for Spurs.
And it has to go a long way in showing how impressive Postecoglou’s plans are at Tottenham.
It can already be seen through the likes of Pape Matar Sarr that the Australian is willing to put his trust in young players.
Even the likes of Destiny Udogie, Micky van de Ven and Brennan Johnson are all examples of the young influence in the Spurs squad.
The Djurgarden director has already discussed Postecoglou’s plans for Bergvall ahead of next season following their recent meeting at Hotspur Way.
Spurs are still being linked with further potential midfield additions ahead of the summer window, though.
So it will be interesting to see how those plans unfold over the coming months when he joins up with the squad.
