TalkSPORT pundit Alex Crook has now questioned a recent comment from Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou.
The curtain is drawing on Ange Postecoglou‘s first term as the Tottenham manager and Spurs look set to secure a fifth-placed finish.
Daniel Levy has backed his manager since appointing him last summer, but it is clear there is still work that needs to be done.
Injuries have hit Spurs this season and they have knocked the likes of James Maddison who has not looked the same player since returning earlier this year.
Despite his poor form, Postecoglou has been reluctant to use the options he has at the club in Giovani Lo Celso.
And it is the comments made about some of his outcasted players which the TalkSPORT journalist has really questioned.

What Ange Postecoglou has said that has really concerned Alex Crook
Change will happen this summer in north London with the 58-year-old having now almost had a full season to assess the squad which he inherited.
And Postecoglou has admitted as much in a recent press conference where he even said that he will be moving players on this summer.
“I’ve got to change this squad, I have to. Because I’ve got to build a squad I think can play our football. For that to happen, there has to be exits,” he said.
It is fair to say those comments have not gone down well with the TalkSPORT pundit who has questioned the reasoning behind Postecoglou admitting as much.
And Crook has even suggested that these are the comments of a manager who is expected to leave the club over the coming weeks, not someone at the start of their tenure.
“It was an odd thing to say if it was David Moyes or Erik ten Hag… David Moyes, we know isn’t gonna be at West Ham next season. Ten Hag, very much the future is up in the air. It’s almost like the manager is firing some shots as he leaves the building,” Crook said.
“If he’s a manager who’s going to be in situ I think that’s a weird thing to say because as we know, it’s easy to say, ‘we want to get rid of players’. It’s a lot harder to do that.
“If they want to sell Richarlison, for example, who’s going to pay the money that Tottenham payed to sign him in the first place? Who’s going to pay the wages?”
Ange Postecoglou is ready for a big clear out this summer
Players like Emerson Royal are showing they have very little worth to Tottenham ahead of the summer.
The Brazilian is filling in at left-back for Destiny Udogie and Ben Davies but it is fair to say he is not doing a great job of it.
So it has to be questioned why Tottenham would want to keep a player like the full-back when he is offering them so little.
But then there are players like Richarlison who Spurs could potentially cash in on if the right offer is to land.
The 26-year-old has shown promising signs this season, but if Spurs want to progress, then they may look to upgrade him for a striker who can offer them more consistency fitness-wise.
It looks like it is set to be a busy summer at Hotspur Way with Postecoglou looking ready for a summer clear out.
