Tottenham star Mohammed Kudus will come up against his former club this weekend during the trip to the London Stadium to face West Ham.
It’s been an intriguing start to the new season for Tottenham. Thomas Frank, the new head coach, watched his side kickstart the Premier League campaign with wins against Burnley and Manchester City. However, they did lose to Bournemouth in the final fixture before the international break.
Spurs are back on Saturday evening with a short trip to rivals West Ham, who have three points from their opening three league matches.

Mohammed Kudus, 25, played for the Hammers between 2023 and 2025 before completing his move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer. Therefore, the Ghana international will be facing so many familiar faces this weekend, including former teammate Jarrod Bowen.
Incidentally, Frank’s managerial record against West Ham is super impressive, winning six times against them.

Jarrod Bowen raved about Mohammed Kudus 17 months ago
Back in March 2024, West Ham thrashed German club Freiburg 5-0 in the Europa League to advance to the quarter-finals. Kudus scored a brace as part of the demolition, too.
Afterwards, Bowen hailed then-teammate Kudus for his individual play, highlighting his dribbling as a “special” part of his game.
Bowen said via West Ham’s official website: “He [Kudus] is a special player and I see it when he dribbles all the time. I enjoy playing with Mo and he enjoys playing with me and we have a connection. Here’s to more goals.
“The number of times he won the ball back, dribbled and the kept on running with the ball was brilliant. He’s so direct, has an eye for goal, and even had the composure to finish it with his right foot despite being a left-footed player. I’m really happy for him.”
West Ham captain Bowen had a great understanding in the final third with Kudus during two years together. In fact, Bowen and Kudus directly combined for 10 goals in 67 appearances (Transfermarkt).

Mohammed Kudus to cement impressive start with first Tottenham goal
So far this season, Kudus has slotted into the Spurs XI pretty effortlessly and looked the part. He’s still waiting for his first goal, though.
| Fixture | Competition | Minutes played | Goals | Assists | Total shots | Chances created | Match rating |
| Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth | Premier League | 90 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 6.2 |
| Manchester City 0-2 Tottenham | Premier League | 86 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 7.6 |
| Tottenham 3-0 Burnley | Premier League | 85 | 0 | 2 | 2 | 5 | 8.9 |
| Paris Saint-Germain 2-2 Tottenham | Super Cup | 79 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 3 | 7.1 |
The skilful right-winger, who can also play as a striker, has immediately added a directness and energy to the Spurs team.
He should be disappointed that he scored just five goals for West Ham last season, but we’re confident he’s got the game to start finding the back of the net on a far more consistent basis. We agree that his dribbling and close control stands out as a major positive in his game as well.
