Tottenham Hotspur, despite some recent form, are having a phenomenal season.

Ange Postecoglou has got his first-team squad playing some seriously good football and has brought the feel-good vibes back to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The recent victory against Newcastle United has now put a spring in their step as they move forward in the Premier League, with players back to full fitness and looking their best once again.

Three of these names, although one not back, are statistically the best defender, midfielder and forward in the Premier League right now.

According to Sofa Score, Pedro Porro is statistically the highest-performing defender in the entirety of the Premier League this season – with a 7.51 rating.

The Spaniard was sensational once again against the Geordies and has had a redemption arc at Hotspur Way after what was a poor start to life in North London.

He tops the likes of Kieran Trippier, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kyle Walker as the best defender in the league on match rating.

James Maddison is statistically the best midfielder in the Premier League right now

James Maddison is statistically the highest-performing midfielder in the entirety of the Premier League this season – with a 7.91 rating.

This makes him the best-performing player in all positions, with Manchester City’s Rodri coming in second with a 7.86.

This is a little skewed, given the fact he’s been injured for a while now, but it was without a doubt he was up there with the Premier League’s best before disaster struck.

He’ll be itching to get back and help Spurs in their conquest for a trophy this season.

Son Heung-Min is statistically the best forward in the Premier League right now

Son Heung-min is statistically the highest-performing forward in the Premier League right now – with a 7.75 rating.

He sits third in the ranks but all-around has arguably been Ange Postecoglou‘s star man this season. The Tottenham legend has regained his form of old and has proven a worthy captain choice.

Sonny will only go from strength to strength for the remainder of the season.
