James Maddison may not be able to play for Tottenham at the moment but he’s still giving fans something to cheer about from the sidelines.

The former Leicester City ace has been ruled out for the foreseeable future after suffering an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury in his right knee in pre-season.

Maddison is likely to miss most of the campaign as a result, with his chances of joining England at the 2026 World Cup now extremely unlikely too.

But the 28-year-old is making the most of having some down time – and he had plenty to say about Tottenham’s disallowed goal at West Ham. Now, he plans on allowing fans to see behind the scenes of his and his teammates’ life at Spurs.

James Maddison plans to give Tottenham fans insight into life at Spurs

Posting on Instagram on Wednesday, Maddison uploaded a picture of him watching Spurs’ 1-0 win over Villarreal in the Champions League.

“Missing it so much,” he wrote as the caption. “Long long way to go but I cannot wait to be back out there in that Spurs shirt man!!!!”

Fans in the comments asked if he was going to continue making YouTube videos, with him posting pre-season tour content on his channel three weeks ago.

“Coming soon mush,” he replied to one supporter.

Maddison launched his YouTube channel last month and already has 67.2k subscribers. That’s not surprising given how quickly he became a fan favourite under Ange Postecoglou.

How James Maddison has done at Tottenham since his £40million move from Leicester City

After joining Spurs in June 2023 on a five year contract and immediately being appointed as vice captain alongside Cristian Romero, Maddison cemented his spot in Postecoglou’s side.

He suffered an ankle injury in his first season but still made 30 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and grabbing 10 assists.

Despite further injuries to his calf and knee, Maddison ramped his number of games up to 45 last campaign, scoring 12 goals and assisting 11 times.

He of course rounded off his season with winning the Europa League, with him missing the final due to a calf strain.
