A remarkable James Maddison strike in an England training video has shown that his class for his club is transferring swimmingly to his country.
Maddison has arguably been Tottenham Hotspur‘s best player this season. The 26-year-old came to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from relegated side Leicester for £40m – which is looking like a bit of a steal right now.
His fantastic performances have earned him a place in Gareth Southgate’s England side for the international break. He’s definitely in contention for a start against Australia this Saturday.
Even if he isn’t picked on his Spurs merit, his performances in training have looked mightily impressive.

Maddison provides insane clip in England training
The Spurs superstar was filmed putting a quite brilliant finish past Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale between the sticks.
Maddison used his trademark whip to put the ball in a simply unsavable area. Maddison then, evidently happy with his strike, turned and then asked the England camera crew: “Did you get that?”
England shared the video on X and confirmed to the Tottenham man that they did in fact very well capture the moment.
Will James Madison start for England?
We definitely believe so. There is no more in-form player than Madders in Southgate’s regime.
Scrap that, there aren’t that many in-form players in the world! If England wants to beat Australia and then get revenge on the Italians – we’d definitely be in the manager’s ear saying to put him in the starting XI.
The only thing we do beg… please bring him back to North London in one piece! If Tottenham want to maintain their unbeaten start to the season, Maddison is going to be integral in the upcoming games.
Nevertheless, were excited to see what he can do on international break.
