The agent of the Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Dragusin has once again spoken out via the media in Romania.

Florin Manea has been no stranger to the media this season on the back of Radu Dragusin’s move to Spurs in the January transfer window.

Just days after the 22-year-old’s first start for the Lilywhites, his agent has now doubled down on previous comments made over the defender’s future.

What Radu Dragusin’s agent said now

Ange Postecoglou was left with a pretty straightforward decision on the weekend to provide Dragusin with his first start.

Injury to Micky van de Ven in the victory over Aston Villa saw Dragusin fill in for the Dutchman.

It was a first start which the Romanian will want to forget given Spurs were on the end of a dreadful 3-0 defeat against Fulham.

Although Dragusin may not have provided the best example of himself at Craven Cottage, his agent has insisted he will move on to bigger things in the future.

He said: The statement I made was done on a Digi broadcast six years ago. I said he would play in Italy, Tottenham and Real Madrid, and in the euphoria of the moment, I repeated it. They can criticise me, the important things is that Radu is good. I don’t have to be loved.”

What else has Dragusin’s agent said recently

The Romanian defender has had to bide his time since making the move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It was a move which may have shocked some as the 22-year-old rejected the likes of Bayern Munich and Napoli to make the move to Tottenham.

Having done so, it may have come as a bit of a disappointment that he arrived and did not make an immediate reaction.

But his agent has admitted that those behind the scenes at Hotspur Way have been impressed by the way Dragusin has dealt with the move.

He said: “The idea is that when he comes in, he plays well and doesn’t leave. He works hard in training. It was noticed by the manager and his teammates. He’s training well.”

It was always going to be a mammoth challenge for the Romanian to come in and uproot Van de Ven and Cristian Romero from the starting XI.

And it does seem the centre-back has some good influences around him with his own mother calling for patience, earlier in the year, over her son’s lack of game time.

But these latest comments from his agent are not exactly what Tottenham fans will want to hear.
