Tottenham will look to carry that impressive performance into the coming weeks as they prepare for their Europa League opener this Thursday.

Having not participated in Europe last season, Spurs now face the task of juggling both domestic and European football, a task that could ultimately make or break their season.

The newly formed ‘phase one’ of the Europa League presents opponents such as Rangers and AS Roma, with Azerbaijani side Qarabag FK first up for the Lilywhites.

Tottenham’s clash with Qarabag is scheduled for an 8:00pm BST kick-off on Thursday 26 September, 2024.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will play host to the tie.

Spurs fans will be glad to hear that the game is set to be showcased live on TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate, with coverage set to start from 7:00 pm.

Team news

Spurs centre-back Cristian Romero will miss the Europa League clash with suspension, having picked a red card in Tottenham’s last European tie against AC Milan back in 2023.

Wilson Odobert’s injury against Coventry means he will also be absent for the Qarabag game, with the winger set to be sidelined until the end of October.

Richarlison meanwhile is also set to miss the fixture, having picked up an injury in the build-up to the Newcastle game a few weeks back.
