Tottenham Hotspur will begin their FA Cup campaign this season with a trip to National League side Tamworth FC.
Spurs were drawn against the Lambs in the third-round draw on Monday night and will head to the Lamb Ground in January.
Tamworth, who currently sit 16th in the National League – the fifth tier of the football pyramid – are the lowest-ranked team left in the competition.
Part of the magic of the FA Cup is the opportunity for small clubs to get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to play one of the biggest clubs in the country.
This is exactly what’s happened with Tamworth and, needless to say, everyone associated with the Lambs is absolutely buzzing over the Tottenham draw.

Tamworth fans chant ‘Tottenham get battered everywhere they go’
When the draw was done, footage of Tamworth fans reacting in the club house went viral.
Some of the younger supporters even had a cheeky pop at Spurs, chanting “Tottenham get battered everywhere they go”.
How Tamworth manager Andy Banks reacted to Tottenham draw
Meanwhile, Tamworth manager Andy Banks looked like he had won the lottery when he found out his team would be up against Spurs.
Elsewhere, Tamworth FC midfielder Tom Tonks fired a warning to Cristian Romero on X following the FA Cup third-round draw.
The 33-year-old will be looking to exploit Spurs’ weakness on defending set pieces with his extraordinary long throw-in.
This is what the third round of the FA Cup is all about – the opportunity for teams low down the football pyramid getting their moment in the spotlight and a chance to write their name in history.
It’s no less than what Tamworth deserve, having already pulled off two giant-killings in the competition already.
Peaks’ men have already overcome League One sides Burton Albion and Huddersfield Town last month. They beat Macclesfield prior to that.
Spurs and Tamworth are set to go head-to-head on the weekend of 11/12 January 2025.
