Heung-min Son has entered his 10th season at Tottenham Hotspur and is hoping this will be the year he finally lifts a trophy with the club.

Son netted a brace against Everton to help Spurs record their first win of the new campaign. Tottenham defeated Everton 4-0 in an emphatic win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Cristian Romero and Yves Bissouma also got on the scoresheet as Tottenham put behind them the disappointment of their opening week draw against Leicester.

Son is expecting a strong season for the Lilywhites and has been speaking about what he must do in his landmark campaign to achieve ‘legendary’ status at Hotspur Way.

Son claims he must win a trophy with the North London club to be considered a legend. The South Korean is eager to give something back to the club and is hopeful that in year 10 he will finally help deliver silverware.

Son told BBC Sport: “Being at one team in 10 years is a good effort I think. You have to be consistent with this and you also have to give something back to the club.

“I still don’t think I am a legend of this club. I have said I want to win something with Spurs, then I want to be very happy to be called a legend. I joined Spurs to win a trophy and I hope we can make a special season.”
