Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has claimed Destiny Udogie is not only one of the best left-backs in the Premier League, but the world.
There have been a number of standout performers at Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou and it is fair to say the Italian duo, Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie, have been two of them.
Despite being in his first year of Premier League football, it seems the £15m left-back has already made some big impressions on his teammates.

Vicario impressed by Udogie
Having signed for Tottenham back in 2022, Udogie made his long-awaited debut for Spurs earlier in the term after spending last season back with Udinese on loan.
Although the Italian is still just 21 years of age, he has made a positive impression at Hotspur Way with his teammates.
Speaking to FourFourTwo, the Tottenham shotstopper has admitted how impressed he has been by Udogie: “We have a great relationship because we’re Italian – we spend loads of time together at the training ground,” Vicario told FourFourTwo in an exclusive interview,” he said.
“I try to push him to do extra work, maybe not just to train but also to come with me to the gym, because he’s got huge potential. He can still improve a lot.
“He’s not simply one of the best left-backs in the Premier League, but also the world. He’s only 21, so he must have the drive inside him to improve day-by-day – I try to push him.
“He’s a very good lad, an unbelievable player, and he has all the qualities to reach the top – he’s quick, he has superb technique, he’s a good defender and attacker… he has everything.”

Postecoglou’s squad for the future
The football on display at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has provided fans with a lot to be excited for ahead of the coming years.
At the heart of what the Australian is doing is a base of exciting young talents.
Udogie and Micky van de Ven make up an exciting young defence with the likes of Pape Matar Sarr providing Spurs a long-term option in midifeld.
And then there are players like Lucas Bergvall who rejected Barcelona to sign for Spurs and Radu Dragusin who snubbed both Bayern Munich and Napoli.
There will not have been many outside of the club who would’ve imagine Spurs could’ve competed the way they have this season.
But with the young talent on display, surely things are only going to get better under Postecoglou in the coming years.
