Les Ferdinand has come out with a big statement, depicting a former Spurs player to be better than Son Heung-Min.
Son is back to his best this season. The South Korean was particularly impressive in the North London Derby, grabbing two goals in a Man of the Match performance against their bitter rivals.
It’s really no surprise. He’s been doing the business down in North London for years.
This is why a statement by the ex-Spurs star Les Ferdinand is a dubious one claiming a former Tottenham striker is better than the 31-year-old.

Son doesn’t make all-time Spurs XI
Les Ferdinand, Tim Sherwood and Sam Allardyce were putting together an all-time Tottenham XI on the No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast, when it came to picking a strike force.
Son’s name floated about, but Ferdinand was quick to shut this down, saying in fact there were three players better than him – Robbie Keane, Teddy Sheringham and Jermaine Defoe.
“That would just be token compared to them at the moment,” Ferdinand began when Son was mentioned.
“I think he’s a good player, but I’m not putting him in over those three (Defoe, Keane, Sheringham), at the moment. He scores spectacular goals, but I’m not putting him in that mould.”
Defoe better than Son?
In a dubious call, Son apparently doesn’t make it in over Jermaine Defoe – who Spurs actually got rid of for just £8m.
Defoe was a brilliant player in his own regard, but we can name countless times the South Korean has carried Spurs on his back to victories – not to mention his impact in Champions League games.
Maybe as a goal scorer, yes Defoe edges him – but as an all-round player? It’s ludicrous to take that away from Son.
