Son Heung-Min was the star of the show for Spurs as they drew 2-2 to Arsenal in the North London Derby.

It was always going to be a fiery affair – but the North London Derby certainly did not disappoint. There was so much anticipation heading into this one, with both sides in top form and we were treated to a footballing spectacle.

A thrilling 2-2 draw saw the points split at the Emirates, but Ange Postecoglou will leave arguably the happier of the two managers.

A great performance from many, but it was Heung Min-Son who was at the very top of his game.

Sensational Son

There were two stand-out players for Spurs, James Maddison and Son.

The South Korean levelled things up in the 42nd minute, thanks to some brilliant work from his teammate Maddison on the left flank.

He then got the second equaliser in the 65th, meaning the points were shared on the day.

Son is back to his form of old, with him still proving he can do the business in even the biggest of fixtures. A huge void was left following Harry Kane’s departure in regard to goals, but so far i looks like Son is going to step up to be the talisman.

Son reacts to Tottenham’s performance

“It’s a derby, it’s always a tough game. But the performance was fantastic from the lads until the last whistle,” the South Korean tells Sky Sports post-match.

“I think we gave everything so I think the fans can be proud of the game. Obviously, we wanted to win, but I think the performance was perfect.”

We think he was near ‘perfect’. Son epitomised everything good about Spurs today. The excellent start to the season continues.
