Bayern Munich fans are already giving very interesting views on Eric Dier after his move from Tottenham

Eric Dier moved to Bayern Munich on loan in the January transfer window.

After 10 long years at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Eric Dier decided it was time for a change of scenery elsewhere from North London.

He chose to link back up with Tottenham Hotspur legend Harry Kane at Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

With Kane having hit the ground running already, and then some, at Munich – there was hopes Dier could come in and impress much like his fellow countryman. Fans already have some intriguing opinions.

Bayern fans on Eric Dier

After just three games in a Bayern Munich jersey, Dier may have won over German fans. They took to X during the 3-1 victory against Borussia Monchengladbach, where the former Spurs ace started as a centre-back next to Matthijs de Ligt.

He had a very solid outing, which sparked comments like: ‘Spurs fans fooled me he is class’ and ‘We pulled their pants down with this Dier deal’.

Another added: ‘Very happy that he didn’t choose Dier, much love for him’ when Thomas Tuchel made a substitute.

Dier has played two full 90-minute matches now for Munich and has impressed in both. However, his latest performance was definitely the better of the two. This is reflected by the stats:

Bayern fans are seemingly happy with the deal so far, which has surprised more than a few Tottenham fans.

Dier wasn’t trusted at Hotspur Way this season, yet is impressive at one of the Champions League favourites. Well, the Bundesliga is very different.

Dier is also still a means to an end for Tuchel at Bayern, with his defensive line suffering numerous setbacks this season. Nevertheless, he’ll be seriously happy with the start the English powerhouse has made.
