Micky van de Ven has taken to Instragam to drop a hint about the extent of his hamstring injury which forced him off against Manchester City.
Tottenham Hotspur reached the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup after a 2-1 win over Pep Guardiola’s side, however, the injury suffered by Van de Ven put a dampener on the result.
The Dutch defender looked distraught leaving the pitch against the Premier League champions after pulling up with an issue in his hamstring.
The 23-year-old will now undergo tests to determine the full extent of the injury, although, on Thursday evening, he dropped a cryptic message on his social media.

Micky van de Ven drops hints over the extent of hamstring injury
Van de Ven posted a picture of himself on his Instagram story along with the caption, ‘Back soon’ and Tottenham fans are unsure what it suggests.
‘Back soon’ feels like Spurs could be set for good news regarding his hamstring, but there is also the feeling that it means he has actually suffered an injury and is set for a spell on the sidelines.
An injury expert believes that Van de Ven’s injury looked likely to be either further tightness or a moderate strain, although tests will be required to understand the full extent.
The North London club will now be waiting with bated breath ahead of the verdict and will be hoping that it is not as bad as his last hamstring injury which saw him miss around two months.
How will Tottenham line up vs Aston Villa without Van de Ven?
Radu Dragusin is the player who will replace him in the team with the Romanian defender producing a strong display against City. He will be hoping to be partnered by Cristian Romero, but the Argentine was also withdrawn in the cup game.
Dominic Solanke is another concern for Ange Postecoglou’s team with the striker looking shattered at the full-time whistle.
Tottenham’s predicted team vs Aston Villa: Vicario; Udogie, Dragusin, Romero, Porro; Bissouma, Sarr, Kulusevski; Son, Johnson, Richarlison.
