Tottenham Hotspur right-back Pedro Porro has issued an injury update as he is set to be sidelined for a couple of weeks.

Spurs play Wolves on Saturday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but Ange Postecoglou will be without his Spanish right-back.

Pedro Porro is said to be dealing with a muscular issue which is being assessed by the club and will potentially sideline him for weeks.

Pedro Porro injury latest

Speaking to the media on Friday from Hotspur Way, Postecoglou said: “Pedro picked up a strain in training, probably a couple of weeks for him. With game break hopefully he doesn’t miss too many.”

This is a player who has played almost every game under the Australian this term. Losing the 24-year-old will be a huge miss down that right side.

Over the course of the season, Porro has already been able to provide Spurs with an impressive return of one goal and eight assists.

However, the player has taken to social media to provide fans with some cause for optimism. He said on X: “Small bump in the road, but same mentality as always. Back soon”

Tottenham injury news

After a positive few weeks on the injury front, the past couple of days have provided several injury blows ahead of the game against Wolves.

The open training session on Thursday handed us our first indication of a potential issue with the £39m right-back.

Destiny Udogie was also a player who was seen missing from the session in north London – he will also miss the game against Wolves.

And then, to add salt to the wound, Postecoglou revealed back-up goalkeeper Fraser Forster had suffered a fractured foot in training and is set to be out for months.

Fingers crossed the two full-backs can make a speedy recovery as they are both have huge influences on the way we play.

But in the meantime, any more injuries would just feel like rotten luck in a season which has provided nothing but injury blows for the 58-year-old manager.
