Ange Postecoglou has offered injury updates on both Cristain Romero and Richarlison and explained why he had to take off Heung-min Son after just 55 minutes.
Tottenham Hotspur emphatically defeated Aston Villa 4-1 to climb into seventh place in the Premier League and just two points off the top four.
Dominic Solanke’s wait for a goal was finally ended with a brilliant brace against Unai Emery’s team as his relentless work for the team was finally rewarded.
However, the focus will now be on the fitness of Romero, Richarlison and Son with two more matches ahead of the November international break.

Postecoglou offers Romero and Richarlison updates
Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Richarlison and Cristian Romero were both feeling issues in the win which forced them off in the win over Villa.
The duo will need to be assessed ahead of the trip on Thursday to face Galatasaray and Postecoglou will be desperate not to lose either player.
After the win over Villa, Postecoglou told the media: “Richy felt something in the action of setting the goal up. Romero’s was in that challenge he felt his foot was sore. He’s a tough cookie so for him to come off it must have been painful. I don’t know much about [the injuries] yet.”
The 59-year-old is already without Micky van de Ven and Wilson Odobert meaning he is desperate to avoid any more issues with key games coming up.
The Brazilian suffered his groin issue setting up Solanke, meanwhile, Romero was forced off with a foot injury whilst making a tackle.
Postecoglou explains Son substitution
Postecgolou has revealed that the plan was always to take off Son after just 55 minutes as the South Korean suffered an issue the last time he played for over an hour.
Son was unhappy with the decision to take him off so early against Villa but Spurs’ medical team will be wary that he needs to be managed. Postecoglou has already spoken about managing Son’s minutes following his hamstring injury.
Postecoglou told BBC Sport: “He was never going to play more than 55 minutes. Last time he came back from injury he got to the 60-minute mark and got injured again. He got through unscathed.”
