Ange Postecoglou has revealed that one of Tottenham Hotspur’s best player’s minutes will need to be managed this season, with his comments being a slight concern to the club’s supporters.
Tottenham haven’t had a great deal of fortune with injuries this season with Heung-min Son, Wilson Odobert and now Micky van de Ven all being sidelined for long periods.
Postecoglou has now warned that one of Spurs’ returning star’s game time will have to be closely monitored to avoid losing him for longer and getting the maximum out of him.
Next up for the North London club is Aston Villa and the Australian manager will need his top players available for the clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Postecoglou says Heung-min Son’s minutes need to be managed
Postecoglou has revealed that Heung-min Son’s minutes will need to be managed this season as Tottenham look to get the maximum out of him.
The 59-year-old believes that given the way his team play and how important he is to the team, the South Korean star needs resting from time to time, especially after his injury.
Postecoglou told Sky Sports: “Especially now he’s had the injury, we do have to be careful with him. But I don’t think it’s anything too far from what I would have done anyway.
“We saw the last game he played, when he plays he’s still unbelievable and what we want is to keep him at those levels for as long as possible.
“So we do have to manage his minutes, but not because I think he’s declining, just because of the way we play and how good he is if we’re going to get the maximum out of him, we’ve got to be really careful about how we use him.”
Sonny has missed the last three matches as a precaution following his return from a hamstring injury with the 32-year-old unavailable against AZ Alkmaar, Crystal Palace and Manchester City.
Will Heung-min Son be fit enough to face Aston Villa?
Son is expected to be fit to face Aston Villa and return to the Tottenham line-up for the huge Premier League clash on November 3.
The forward is set to start ahead of Timo Werner and Mikey Moore as Postecoglou gets back one of his best players for the game.
The Spurs boss will also need to check on the fitness of Cristian Romero who was forced off with a slight knock against City in the Carabao Cup. He is already without Micky van de Ven who suffered a hamstring injury and is due back after the international break.
Tottenham’s predicted team vs Aston Villa: Vicario; Udogie, Dragusin, Romero, Porro; Bissouma, Sarr, Kulusevski; Son, Johnson, Solanke.
