Ange Postecoglou has just made a dramatic U-turn over a player who he has been trying to sell at Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham are currently experiencing quite an injury crisis right now with five regular starters missing against Fulham. Postecoglou was without Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dominic Solanke on the weekend, with Mikey Moore, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert also missing.
The 59-year-old named a very young Tottenham bench against Fulham which included seven players who were yet to make their Premier League debuts. Another player who was selected for the bench was a star who has looked certain to leave the North London club last summer.

Ange Postecoglou changes his stance over Sergio Reguilon
Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Sergio Reguilon is now available for selection for Tottenham with the Spaniard having initially been frozen out of the squad. The Spaniard has not made a competitive appearance for Spurs since April 2022.
The 27-year-old found himself named in Postecoglou’s squad for the first time against Fulham showing just how bad the injury crisis at Tottenham has become. Reguilon looked set to leave Tottenham last summer, however, the Australian manager has revealed that he could play a part this season for the Lilywhites.
Postecoglou told the media: “He’s ready [if needed]. He’s training every day and he’s part of the squad. There’s also a reason why Reggy is in the last year of his contract with us. We’ll see how that all transpires. There’s nothing wrong with his attitude and he’s been training all the time with us.”
How likely is Sergio Reguilon to play for Tottenham vs Bournemouth?
The unthinkable could well happen on Thursday and there is a good chance we see Reguilon make his first competitive appearance in over two years. Postecoglou has run both Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro but at the same time, he has had very few chances to rest them.
Porro has played 90 minutes in every Premier League game this season and Udogie has also started every league match. Djed Spence is one of those options but the manager does not seem to fancy him, meanwhile, Archie Gray is the other although it is clear he is not quite ready to make his first Premier League start.
Porro is expected to be named on the bench against Bournemouth and Spence is the most likely player to replace him. He looked shattered against Fulham and needs a rest. Udogie is set to remain in the team but he could make way for Reguilon at some stage at the Vitality.
