Tottenham Hotspur will be boosted by the return of Richarlison for their game on the weekend against Fulham.

The Lilywhites face a trip to Craven Cottage on Saturday before some of their players jet off for the latest international break.

But Ange Postecoglou will now have his Brazilian striker Richarlison back in the fold for the trip across London.

Richarlison injury news

The 26-year-old has missed Tottenham’s last two Premier League games against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.

But it is fair to say his presence hasn’t really been missed with Spurs netting seven times in those two games.

The Brazilian has been hailed as ‘unbelievable‘ by West Ham’s Michail Antonio this season for his battles on and off the pitch.

Richarlison did tell the Brazilian media that he would be fit enough to return for the game against Villa last weekend.

That clearly wasn’t the case, but speaking from Hotspur Way on Friday, Postecoglou has provided some positive news on the striker.

He said: “Richy has trained, so if he pulls up okay (in training today), he should be available for tomorrow.”

Tottenham laying a marker

Spurs have been hit with a potentially huge boost ahead of the weekend after West Ham’s Europa League win puts England in a great spot to earn an extra Champions League place.

This means a Spurs win on the weekend would take them nine points clear of Manchester United who currently sit in sixth place.

The Lilywhites could even end the weekend in fourth spot and with a game still in hand on Aston Villa, depending on results.

Two consecutive victories have put Spurs in a good place, but anything other than three points on Saturday would be a big disappointment.

A two week break from Premier League action will leave Spurs plenty of time to dwell on however Saturday’s trip to Craven Cottage pans out.

With some huge games against the current top three not too far away, this is not a time for Spurs to start dropping unnecessary points.

One less injury to deal with, though, is a positive boost for the weekend with Micky van de Ven now the only major absentee.
