Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has admitted a player the club has now sold had so much quality.
The Welshman is currently away on international duty where he has captained his side to a one-off game to qualify for this summer’s Euros.
But he has looked back on a player who is no longer with his club and admitted he was seriously impressed by the ability he possessed.

What Ben Davies said about Christian Eriksen
Spurs allowed Christian Eriksen to leave the club in 2020 after the player infamously asked to leave during the season Tottenham had allowed the Amazon Prime cameras into Hotspur Way.
Fans were given an exclusive view into how the club handled the Dane’s demand to leave as they reluctantly agreed.
Eriksen had spent a number of years at Spurs where he racked up 69 goals and 90 assists across his 305 appearances.
Speaking on the Gab and Juls Show, Davies has admitted the midfielder is a player who seriously impressed during his time at the club.
He said: “Christian Eriksen. He wasn’t a physically dominant player, he was just someone who had so much quality. It always seemed like he used to get the ball and have more time than everyone else.
“What he was amazing at, and still is, was that he’s like a manager on the pitch, he dictates where everyone goes, dictates the tempo of the game, if there’s times when the game is getting away from you, he’s the one that slows it down.”

What Ben Davies has also said about Brennan Johnson
It is not just former Spurs players who Davies is praising recently with the Welshman also hailing one of his compatriots.
Brennan Johnson joined the north London club in the summer for a hefty £47.5m fee.
Having started the season fairly slowly, the 22-year-old is now finding his stride at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Speaking during his time away with Wales, Davies has claimed he’s been impressed with what he’s seen from Johnson so far, but expects more to come.
He said: “He is pulling out results, scoring goals and getting assists. He offers a lot of pace, he is very direct and has a knack for being in the right place at the right time.
“He has taken it in his stride, and we will see a better and better player coming. If he can bring that quality into a Welsh shirt for us we will be very happy.”
Having now netted four goals and provided six assists in the Premier League, it is fair to say Johnson is starting to find his feet.
Admittedly, it was a fairly slow start from him after making the move, but it has to be remembered he is still just 22-years-old.
And it is not just Davies who has been impressed, Heung-min Son has revealed his love for the winger and has admitted he is wanting to help him in anyway he can.
