Tottenham Hotspur left-back Destiny Udogie is expected to return for the next game against Crystal Palace.

Going into the game on the weekend against Gary O’Neil’s Wolves, we were aware that Ange Postecoglou would be without Destiny Udogie through injury.

But it was not just the Italian who would miss out with Pedro Porro also suffering with his own injury issue which saw him sidelined.

Destiny Udogie injury latest

It was noticed on Thursday during the open training session at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that the Italian was not to be seen.

And prior to the game, it was revealed he would not take place in the matchday squad as he dealt with his injury issue.

However, speaking on his YouTube channel, journalist Alasdair Gold has provided some potential positive injury news on Udogie’s possible return: “It looks like Udogie should – hopefully – be back in time for the Crystal Palace game. Whereas, Porro maybe not.”

Big misses for Spurs

Having to play without one of Udogie or Porro is bad enough for Spurs, however, to be without both is a huge issue.

And that was clear to see on Saturday with neither Emerson Royal nor Ben Davies providing any real end product in the final third.

Davies, in particular, had a great opportunity to earn a point with a header inside the box, but he squandered the opportunity.

Although Udogie has not exactly been prolific in front of goal, the Italian has returned two goals for Spurs but has been key to getting crosses in from the left side.

And that is something which Davies was unable to do all game. The Welshman attempted six crosses during the game and none of them found their target.

Let’s just hope that Gold is right and Udogie is ready to go for the game against Palace.
