Ange Postecoglou is seemingly desperate to ship off some of his first-team squad fringe players to get some much-needed game time away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The likes of Alfie Devine, Japhet Tanganga and Sergio Reguilon have all been shipped out of Hotspur Way thus far.
But none may be more desperate for minutes on the pitch than Djed Spence, who finally obtained some for his new side the other night.
Djed Spence stars for Genoa
With Radu Dragusin coming the other way, Djed Spence joined Genoa on loan – who do have an option to buy the English youngster at the end of the season.
He played in his first match of the season last night, completing 90 minutes in what was the first time in a whopping 344 days.
The 23-year-old started in a rather unorthodox position as a left-wing back in a 3-5-2 formation for the Serie A side, as they took on Salernitana away from home.
The match ended in victory for Spence, with Genoa emerging 2-1 victors thanks to goals from both strikers in Mario Retegui and Albert Gudmundsson.
Spence had a half-decent game, which included some superb stats considering his lack of time on the turf.

No matter his performance, he must get back to full fitness to try and restore the player he was before he joined Tottenham Hotspur.
Spence was an unbelievable talent at both Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest and was tipped to be the next big thing regarding English right-backs.
This has fallen flat on its face, but at 23 – there’s still time. We wish Spence the best of luck as he continues his Italian journey!
