Tottenham Hotspur fans were all left saying the same thing about Brennan Johnson after Sunday’s game at Anfield.
A fourth successive defeat was inflicted on Ange Postecoglou‘s side as Liverpool ran out comfortable 4-2 winners.
Two late goals from Richarlison and Heung-min Son did little to paper over the cracks as Tottenham now lie in danger of losing fifth spot over the final games.
Very few players have impressed in recent weeks in a Spurs shirt and this was also the case on Sunday as the Lilywhites were put to the sword.
Conceding goals has been a huge problem for Tottenham recently, but scoring them at the other end has been just as difficult.
Postecoglou’s attack has completely dried up and has seen Spurs lose their last four games by an aggregate scoreline of 13-4.
But it was apparent the Tottenham fans had a lot to say about Brennan Johnson‘s showing on Merseyside after the game.
The Welshman picked up form earlier in the year, but like many others, he is now struggling to find the form he has shown earlier in the term.

What Tottenham fans were all saying about Brennan Johnson on Sunday
Another dismal day for Spurs was highlighted by their lack of attacking threat as Postecoglou’s starting XI failed to impress again.
Dejan Kulusevski started alongside Son and Johnson in the front line with Richarlison dropping to the bench after starting on Thursday night.
But bringing the Brazilian on did provide Spurs with more of a threat and it did not take him too long to score at Anfield.
The game summed up Tottenham’s form over recent months with their once dazzling attack now looking blunt and ineffective.

However, one player who did not impress the Spurs fans was their 22-year-old winger, Johnson.
The Welshman lasted the full 90 minutes but Tottenham fans took to social media on Sunday to share their frustrations with his performance.
One fan took to X to say, ‘I honestly believe I’m a better footballer than Brennan Johnson. Levy should have saved his 50m and taken a punt on me.’ With another adding, ‘Brennan Johnson is the slowest fastest player I’ve ever seen’.
With Johnson failing to impress, one Spurs fan said, ‘Brennan Johnson has given the ball away every single time. No wonder teams force us wide’. Whilst another stated, ‘Brennan Johnson cost 50 million pounds. I’ll say it again, 50 million pounds. Shocking.’
Death, taxes and Brennan Johnson not completing a successful dribble,’ one simply said and another admitted they want to see an academy player replace Johnson, ‘Brennan Johnson has been absolutely shocking today. Mikey Moore cannot be any worse. Give him some minutes.’
Brennan Johnson’s stats vs Liverpool highlight Tottenham’s worrying form
Johnson enjoyed a bright spell earlier this year where he started to look like the big money player which Tottenham had actually bought.
A solid run of games after the turn of the year saw him provide numerous goals and assists, but those have slightly dried up in recent weeks – as it has across the board at Tottenham.
But here is a summary of his afternoon at Anfield.
- 90 minutes played
- 1 assist
- 1 big chance missed
- 34 tocuhes
- 2/7 ground duels won
- 9X possession lost

As it is for the manager, it is still early days for Johnson at Spurs and patience will be required with the 22-year-old.
He has shown what he is capable of this season but he needs to work on his consistency if he is to become a player who could succeed the likes of Son for years to come.
