Tottenham Hotspur remain unbeaten after the international break but will bemoan conceding late on to draw 2-2 with Roma in the Europa League.

Spurs, who went into the game on the back of their 4-0 rout of Manchester City, very nearly emerged triumphant from a quality tie against Giallorossi.

Tottenham took the lead after just five minutes in Thursday’s clash in North London through Son Heung-min’s penalty.

Mats Hummels gave a spot kick away for a tackle on Pape Matar Sarr and Son Heung-min converted from 12 yards.

However, Roma drew level in the 20th minute as Evan Ndicka beat Fraser Forster following Paulo Dybala’s free-kick into the Spurs box.

Tottenham retook the lead in the 33rd minute through a superb goal from the prolific Brennan Johnson.

Dejan Kulusevski saw off Hummels before whipping in a low cross from the left which Johnson met with a first-time finish into the bottom corner.
