Tottenham Hotspur were pegged back late on against AS Roma as Matts Hummels rescued a point for the Italian side.

Roma managed to earn a 2-2 draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a stoppage-time equaliser from the veteran German defender.

Ange Postecoglou will be furious that his team failed to hold on for the win having created so many chances against Claudio Ranieri’s side and they drop into ninth place.

One of Spurs’ key players produced a great display against the Giallorossi, although Fraser Forster’s display will raise concern as he looks to replace Guglielmo Vicario.

Tottenham player ratings vs Roma

Fraser Forster – 5

Fraser Forster made some strong saves against Roma, however, he was slow to get down to several efforts from the host and conceded twice. Both from set pieces.

Pedro Porro – 6

Pedro Porro had a solid game at right-back and proved a thorn in the side of Roma. Came close with a few efforts with his best being a free-kick which struck the crossbar.

Radu Dragusin – 6

Radu Dragusin produced another solid display against the Italian side as he continues to bounce back from a tricky few weeks. Roma looked dangerous but he stood strong.

Ben Davies – 6

Ben Davies was as reliable as ever for Postecoglou’s side as he made some key blocks and he will be frustrated the team conceded twice.

Archie Gray – 6

Archie Gray was once again used out of position by Postecoglou and again looked impressive at left-back. Showed great defensive ability and did well on the ball.

Rodrigo Bentancur – 7

Rodrigo Bentancur was very solid in the number six role and proved a key player for Tottenham. Postecoglou had to take him off after a silly booking.

Pape Matar Sarr – 7

Pape Matar Sarr was again at his best covering so much ground for Spurs.

Dejan Kulusevski – 7

Dejan Kulusevski was one of the best players on the pitch again as he set up Brennan Johnson for Tottenham’s second of the evening. Was unfortunate not to have scored himself.

Brennan Johnson – 8

Brennan Johnson netted his tenth goal of the season with a trademark finish at the back post. The Welshman kept finding himself in that position and looked a real threat.

Heung-min Son – 7

Heung-min Son opened the scoring for Tottenham from the penalty spot. The South Korean looked dangerous down the left for Tottenham.

Dominic Solanke – 7

Another game without a goal for the North London club, however, Dominic Solanke offers so much more to Postecoglou than goals. His all-round player was terrific.
