After a few weeks out of the Spurs side, James Maddison provided a statement performance against Manchester City.
Maddison was a key player in Tottenham’s 4-0 win, netting a first-half brace in what was an all-round magnificent display from the Spurs number ten.
First latching onto the end of a brilliant Dejan Kulusevski cross, the Englishman then doubled his tally with an expertly taken dinked finish.
The 28-year-old’s magnificent performance has unsurprisingly earned a lot of plaudits from Spurs fans, with some fans admitting they owe the midfielder an apology.

James Maddison’s statement performance against Man City
Postecoglou’s treatment of Maddison has been criticised by Spurs supporters in recent times, but the Aussie’s decision to start the 28-year-old against City would work out perfectly.
Two goals and an all-around brilliant performance, the former Leicester star seemed like a man possessed against the Citizens – a man who seemed as if he was for his place in this Tottenham team.
