Tottenham Hotspur got their Premier League campaign under way with a 1-1 draw at Leicester City on Monday night.
Spurs were impressive in the first half as Pedro Porro opened his team’s account for the season in the 29th minute.
James Maddison curled a superb cross into the box as Porro made a brilliant late run and glanced the ball into the back of the net.
However, for all of Tottenham’s dominance in the first half, they couldn’t add to their solitary goal, and were made to pay for it on 57 minutes.
Leicester’s first shot on target gave them the equaliser as Abdul Fatawu’s cross from the right was headed in by the unmarked Jamie Vardy from five yards out.
In the end, nothing could separate the two teams as they shared the spoils come full time.

Tottenham fans pleased with Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall debuts
The game saw three Tottenham players make their competitive club debuts, namely Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall.
While much of the attention was on the new Spurs striker, who started the match, fans also liked what they saw from the two youngsters.

Promising debuts for Gray and Bergvall
Gray and Bergvall did very well in pre-season and were rewarded with spots in the Tottenham matchday squad.
Both came on in the 79th minute as Ange Postecoglou made a quadruple change in wake of Spurs losing their grip on the game.
Admittedly, Bergvall did make a mistake which led to a Leicester chance and a telling off from Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.
However, for the most part, both held their own very well in the Premier League encounter and showed that they are great players in the making,
It’ll be exciting to see what the future holds for both Gray and Bergvall.
