Tottenham Hotspur’s first summer transfer task, if they remain in the Premier League, must be to sell Guglielmo Vicario and find a suitable upgrade.
Dominik Szoboszlai gave Liverpool the lead with a free-kick; however, big question marks have been raised about whether the goalkeeper should have saved it.
😠 Should Guglielmo Vicario have saved Dominik Szoboszlai’s free-kick?
The goalkeeping position has become a huge worry for Spurs, especially after Antonin Kinsky’s two errors against Atletico Madrid.
Vicario has been linked with a move away from Tottenham, and the North London club should jump at the chance to offload him in the summer.
Tottenham must sell Guglielmo Vicario
Tottenham Hotspur must sell Guglielmo Vicario this summer as one of the first pieces of business they do when the window opens.
The goalkeeper has looked well past his best at times this season, and his latest error at Anfield is another sign of why he must be sold.
The Lilywhites looked well in the match prior to Szoboszlai’s opener, but a cheap goal looks like it could cost them a result against Arne Slot’s team.
At the end of the first half, Vicario managed a goal prevention of -0.61, showing how poor his error was for the opening goal of the game.

Igor Tudor tried to switch things up against Atletico Madrid, but it drastically backfired following Kinsky’s woeful 15 minutes in the Spanish capital.
For the remaining matches, Spurs now have a glaring weakness facing them, with two goalkeepers who look so unsure of themselves right now.
Unfortunately, most of Tottenham’s squad appears to be in the same state, and that is why they are languishing near the bottom of the Premier League table.
Tudor has hardly given his players much to believe in since arriving at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and he could be on his way out in North London.
Jamie Carragher slams Guglielmo Vicario vs Liverpool
Jamie Carragher has slammed Vicario and Kinsky following the Italian’s poor error, which gifted the Reds the lead.
Carragher told Sky Sports: “There is no doubt that Liverpool have a free-kick specialist. But Tottenham don’t have a goalkeeping specialist. You have to save that. Awful.”
As the former Liverpool defender points out, Spurs are lacking a quality shotstopper, and that must be addressed quickly in the summer.
